Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

Default Dodge Raider

I am currently looking at buying an 87 Raider and was wondering if anyone had any insight on problems or tendencies. This one will need some work, clutch, to get it back on the road but I am sure there are more issues. So far I have read about head gaskets and transmission problems, anyone else know anything about the Raider?

I know this post is older, but don't want to keep adding posts about the same thing. I'm looking at a 89 Raider and also wondering what are things to watch out for. The one I found had the 3.0L V6 and an auto. I had a 93 lebaron with the 3.0L and everything except the engine itself failed at least twice including the transmission, is this drivetrain going to have the same issues? I know these are mitsubishi's, I also found a 89 Land Rover Defender that appeared to be the same thing with the 3.0L V6 and an auto. I've yet to find one that is majorly rusted out, so hopefully rust is not as bad as other mopars. Thanks for any info.
