Pros anc Cons of the Ram Charger
As i said in my post below im getting ready to get a new off road rig. Im not into the rock crawlings or that kinda stuff, im just a full pledge mudder i guess, i want the rig to be able to go on the some coarse but mainly mudding lol... but ya i cant decide between a 1980s Ram or a Ram Charger. I wanted to see what you guys think would be a better set up for me. ty =D
i'm thinkin you might need to ask this question somewhere else....seems as though no one comes in here....but to answer your question......
go with whatever you can find.....i just bought a 1990 ramcharger cause it's all i could find that was in decent enough shape to drive in winter but not too nice that i wouldnt want to tear it up off-roading.....ramchargers are harder to find in my area (if you want one in decent shape) but i have found out that parts are a lil bit harder to find (unless i'm looking in wrong area), i'm pretty much using mine for the same reason you are....to go play in the mud and to drive for a winter vehicle. i'm gonna lift mine, slap on some 38", and drop in a built 360.....good luck

If you are gonna use it on the street most of the time then get the RC. I drove my new 77 for 200K here in Colorado and never had any problems on the highway or all the moutain passes. The RC and the large Blazer were some of the most stable vehicles on snow and ice that I have ever driven.
i have both a r/c and also a p/w. they were both fun to play with.p/w had 440. the r/c suits me, because i can carry my daughter and all my stuff with me. alltogether i paid 1200.00 for both. both are lifted and fun like i said. its a personal choice.
I love Pickup trucks. But the only darwback to them is the rear end is light. I would say go with a ramcharger. the more weight on the back equalls more traction. I would recomemed a 90-91 I belive they came with throttle body injection. I belive the 92 came with the mutiport injection. Good luck finding them. All I ever see if Darn Broncos and Blazers. I love the RamChargers. I belive there acculy a little longer and taller than Broncos and Blasers too. Have fun with it.
I have an 83 dodge ramcharger and it's standard and only 2 wheel drive but also rear wheel drive but i have never had any problems with it and i'm usually the one my friends call when they get stuck mudding so i can come pull their *** out lol
My .02 go with the Ramcharger
