gas mileage of 82 ramcharger 318 4-sp ??
I am looking at buying a good running
1982 ramcharger 318(45,000 on rebuild) 650 4bbl carb
4-sp manual
31" tires
part time 4x4
trying to get an idea of what sort of gas mileage is possible with this set up..I would love 11-12 mpg but have never owned a dodge

The things I can see hurting your gas the most is the 4bbl carb, and the 4wd. Im not sure about what the tires would do to gas. To increase your mileage I'd suggest a dual exaust, and looking at how you drive. Also the stanards of a good tune up etc. I would get about 10 city and 13 highway in a van with 2wd and auto.

i own a 82 dodge ramcharger and love it but it does eat up gas i have a 318 with about 30000 miles on rebuilt with 650 edlebrock carb and intake MSD ignition 33 inch tires and 4x4 it has duel exhaust 3" pipes all the way back with hooker headers and flowmasters it only get s about 8 miles to the gallon if im lucky lol its well worth it tho thats for sure
