I have a 1983 (318 Holly2BRL )Ramcharger I picked up for $600.00.The Vehicle sat for 2.5 Years and had alot of moisture in the engine and Transmission oil. So I changed the Fluids and filters. Since i have blown out 5 Gaskets on the Tranni and 2 Included PTV Gasket form. I was told to replace Dexron 2 with 3. i don't think i am overtightening or undertightening the pan bolts. any suggestions? By the way the leak is never in the same location.

Did they suggest you change the fluid type on April 1st? The difference between Dextron 2 or Dextron 3 wouldn't affect a leak.
Since the pan is one of the few low-pressure areas of an automatic transmission. I suspect that either your pan is bent somewhere between bolts, or possibly cracked from over-tightening. You can probably pick up a new pan at a wrecking yard. Make sure you set it on a known flat surface face down to check it for warps. Using a ruler or square edge slowly across the pan sealing surface will reveal any gaps that could leak.
Remember when tightening the pan bolts, to do it gradually by tightening not around the pan, but across the pan bolt to bolt in a gradual way. Do not tighten each bolt completely but just a little at a time until all are equally snug. Over tightening one bolt and not the others equally can warp the pan.

I will try it again i lose about a half dollar size worth of fluid a day so we are getting closer. I was told to use dexron III and stay away from all the new stuff as the new will foam and build too much pressure in the pan blowing out the seals. Now i'm having responce problems from stomping on the throttle and getting. it was suggested to rebuild the Carb and use Octane booster for 5-6 refills.
I'm in this for the experience. I've wanted the Ramcharger since 10th grade. Guess i should watched what i asked for.
I will try to pay closer attention and see if it works better this weekend.

Agree w/kellyfromva, definitely criss-cross while tightening the bolts gradually to the recommended torque. Also make sure both mating surfaces (trans & pan) are clean.
One other thing, I remember chasing a trans leak on one of my mopars and what I thought was a trans gasket leak ended up being a leaky o-ring where the dipstick tube goes into the trans - it appeared to leak from different spots but was just leaking down and getting everywhere. Good luck!
