we have an 84 dodge prospector......she wont start!!........she cranks but wont turn over....we had the battery checked and its still somwhat good only cranking about 200 less then normal (couldnt replace it wuite yet) the volt meter also takes a huge dive when u crank her up......HELP!!

 

Check the 3 main things for a carburated engine. Fuel, Spark, and power to the coil. Pour a LITTLE gas directly into carb, stand back, and crank. If it fires and stumbles, It is a fuel related problem. Try holding the main coil output wire- the one that goes to the distributer cap close to a ground and see if you have a spark. No spark, No go. If you are still unsure, take it in.
