Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

Default Ramcharger lift.

Just bought an 85 Ramcharger with a running 318 for $750. At least that is what I was told I bought. Once I got it home I discovered with was actually an 84 with a 360. The issue I ran into is that it appears as though they put a cheap lift on it and put the axels under the springs. Its running 35's with plenty of clearance. The power steering was out, gear box was shot, pitman arm had 0 teeth left and the drag link falling apart. Ive replaced the PS pump, Gear box and pitman arm. With these changed out the factory replacement drag link isnt long enough and took 2 full rotations out of my steering to the right. I assume that I need an adjustable drag link? my question is can I get away with a 2-4 inch adjustable link or do i need to go with a 4-6 inch adjustable link?
