Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

Default what about spindles to lift a 2wd RC?

I have a friend who recently lifted a 2wd Blazer, an '80 somthing i believe, and he said he replaced the spindles up front to lift his and a shackle flip for the rear. Is there anyway you could do the same thing with the front of a 2wd '85 Ramcharger?? If So please let me in on it!! I'd reallly like to see or hear all my options on liftin' my 2wd, with a body lift being the last thing that i want to try.

As far as I know, there are no lift or drop spindles for the these trucks. The aftermarket is notoriously bad about making parts for our Dodge rigs.

Default Lifting.........

Ofcourse it goes without saying that the rear could be done as you suggested, but the front is a different problem..... There are no spindles speciffic for the Ramcharger. I think I'v read some bits and pieces of using Durango spindles, but I never really found anything laying it out. The one article I did see was for a circular aluminum spacer that rested in the pocket under the coil spring and supposedly raised the front about 2-3 inches, more likely "2, which is not much if you flip the rear.....It'll still set raked in the front. I'm taking it your looking for the 'Prerunner look'. The only other thing in terms of a level-ish look would be some Spring-shockes like Monroe used to make. That might additionally lift it an inch, and with both of these your still not going to get much lift in the front. The other option, and it would look pretty trick $2500 later would be Bell Super Axle for the 'Gasser 55 Chevy' non-droped straight axle. But then you have to do some welding and alignment after it's installed. OTHERWISE we all are out of luck with raising or lowering the Ramchargers in the 2wd option.
