Does a water pump make noise when its bad? Mine is rattling. The temp gauge in my truck stays very low in the normal zone, yesterday it got very high in normal zone, when it did that I took it home and shut it down, today I replaced the thermostat. After I replaced the thermostst I started it back up and there is this rattling sound. Does a water pump do that when going bad?

 

All good, the rattling went away, it was the ground on the high beam switch on the floor.
