Hey guys I've got a bad *** 85 W150 that I'm wanting to upgrade and beef up I'm new to the Forum and I'm not the most mechanically inclined 18 year old out there but I can turn a wrench I'm looking for some help and discussions and was hoping someone on here could help me out.

Ok so here it is I've got a 1985 w150
rebuilt 318, holley 500 carb, edelbrock intake, larger cam and most of the engine is new.
my 3 speed automatic is starting to slip and I was wondering if I could swap it with a newer 4 speed.
I want to upgrade brakes and Axles but have no idea where to begin.
I'm Young and Ignorant so please don't bash me too hard.
