Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

Well if you are mechanically inclined start taking it apart, other than that your gonna need to goto a tranny shop. Its a 79 so problems are not going to be out of the ordinary. I do not recomend doing the internal tranny work yourself unless you know what you are doing. Most likely you will need to replace or rebuild the tranny.

Transmission is locked up. Need to pull the top of tranny off and see if the shifting forks are where they're suppose to be. Also need to make sure gears are where they're suppose to be when you put the top of tranny back on. Can be done through the floorboard of the truck. Do not need to drop tranny to check this.

You need to try and shift both transfer and tranny. If you have drive lines hooked up and transfer case in neutral it should role. If it doesn't, then your problem is a locked transmission.
