I have a 78 Ramcharger I use for off-road racing. I am looking to lighten it. I currently have the factory setup with the small block 727 and transfer case. I want to know if the transfer case from a V8 Dakota like 91-94 style would bolt up. If anybody has any suggestions, I would appreciate it. My friend races a 70 Blazer with a 350. He uses a Jeep transfer case but has an adapter plate to get it to work. The Jeep transfer case weighs less than 100 lbs & can be lifted up into place by 1 person. The factory transfer case takes 3 guys and a monkey (just kidding) and a lot of words flying to lift up into place. Thanks. (BTW: This is a budget friendly project)
