I have a '93 ramcharger and the rear end grindings when turning, but only after you drive it for a half hour or more. I have been told that it simply needs a fluid change, but i was also told the limited slip is going bad or a bearing is going bad. can anyone shed any light on this subject? thankyou

 

If you have the Anti-Spin rear end it's a 9.25". Go down to NAPA and pick up a cover gasket and about 3 qts of 80W-90 weight oil. Go down to Chrysler and pick up a bottle of Anti-Spin Friction Modifier, this is the factory additive that is designed to keep the Anti-Spin/Limited Slip plates from chattering on turns. Change all and drive for a couple of days and see what happens. This would be your cheapest first step.

 

if its a 7 1/4 your are hosed. do NOT put a 7 1/4 back in. when you go to put a bigger one in, you will need different length drive shaft, and other things. each rear end length needs a diff length drive shaft, and other things
