Superchargers
im a bit unsure of why youre supercharging a 1983 truck. esepcially with a 440 in it...youre beggin to break ****.
i would check kennebell, but it depnds on what type of blower you want.

You might talk to Tony Richards at Mopower Masters in Denver Colorado. I owned several '79's and had a 440 - loved the motor.
Tony is very good and to the point. He also builds 500 inch stroker motors which are reliable and have unbelievable HP and torque. He's the guy with a ton of mopar knowledge.
Good luck

my uncle has a 1979 power wagon with a 440. We pulled the blue block and dropped in a 68 orange.
We balanced and blue printed the motor...bored her .060 over....arias pistons...indy heads...the works...we then put a bds 671 blower on it (super charger...what? some people dont know)
the reason we swapped years is because the 75 and up 440 blocks were cast.....not forged. yeah i know....what the hell were they thinking??
because of this with the boost of the super charger....and some people are even going turbo now...it will eventually (sooner than later) blow a crack in the block.....its just to much compression. Many people argue with this so i went to a friend of mine at a dodge dealer (richmond dodge for the michigan people) and he told me that that rumor is very true....and after 78 (final year) they didnt even have wedged heads nomore.
so if youre going to make a blown motor of a 440....be sure its pre-75...the year of the motor is forged into the left bank i believe?? dunno check both sides, its there

6-71 good thing no problems year of block not really that important just use sensible (whats that) finished bore size and boost levels tooth count on pulleys controls boost level and be sure to build it for blown abuse. IM me you want more as I can go on and on about this subject. 79 trailduster w/ 6-71 360, 68 Charger 8-71 440, 71 W-100 6-71 354 swilling methanol.
440's make great off road motors, you can pretty much idle through anything. lol. Or you can slam it and fly through mud. My dad had a 79 ram 4x4 with 44in super swampers. how i used to love to watch the gas gauge go down when you floored it. lol.
