Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

hey everyone out there i just had a few simple questions.

how high do i need to lift my 1987 Dodge RamCharger to be able to fit 38" Tires under neath it.
Will a 6" Skyjacker cut it ?
and what else will i need to do ...
driveshaft ? brakae cables (yes i know i do).

and one last thing , is there any place to go for intake kits (ram air, super or turbo chargers) for my baby ?

The 6" would prolly rub sometimes... if you went a little bigger or put a body lift on it I think you would be ok. The brake cables miiight be ok....im not sure. Driveshaft again im not sure....

we own 4. you will need to go higher than 6 inches to clear 38s. a 6 with a 3 inch body would do it. also you will need to run a 411 gear at least, if not a 456 gear. for driveline mods, you should be able to get away with shims under the springs. not being a big fan of body lifts i would run a 6 inch skyjacker with 36 inch tsl radials (nice ride on road and killer performance offroad) plus with the 36s a 411 gear would give you the performance you needed on and offroad.

I have a 79 trail duster with 35in tires and all I had to do is a 2in lift and some fender triming and they do just fine I off road all the time
