Could somebody tell what axles are in a 8 ram charger. It looks like a chrysler 9.25 and dana 44 but I just want to make sure. And also the axle ratios.

 

Its either the 9.25 or Dana 60 and Dana 44 front is correct.

axle ratios are all different...usually you can jack up the back end of the truck, mark the driveshaft with chalk and then spin a back tire and count the revolutions to figure that out within reason.

 

there is a tag bolted on with the cover bolts if it has not been removed it should tell you the Ratio.

 

If you have the 5.9L 360, you most likely have the D44 front and Chrys. 9.25" rear. These generally came with stock 3.23 gears. Very rarely did they have anything lower from the factory.

 

I had one with 3.55 from the factory I think either was common actualy there is one up the road with 3.55 also

 

got a 89 4x4 it has 9.25 dana 44 with 3.55 with a 4spd stick which gears down pretty low especialy with stroker 360 i just put in
