master cylinder bore 1" or 1 1/8"
update saturday,
replaced master clyinder with 1" bore. I think the 11/8" is for 4 wheel disk.?.
I have now seperated the rear brake system FOR TESTING PURPOSES ONLY by capping the output at the proportioning valve. The brakes work... but do not lock up on asphault at 45 mph but will on gravel at 25 mph with excessive force ( i mean grassping the wheel and pushing. Brake fluid is leaking out of the master cylinder caps when i do this...( does this mean it is bad). The entire system has been bleed with gravity, vacum and pressure in that order. The brake system is not leaking and is not holding air. I have two flexible lines I have not replaced- the axel to body front and back. I think my front brake system is functioning properly and can assume that the proprtiong valve is working because the front brakes work when the rear is caped and the little metal pin on the valve moves with the pedal.?.
Question- The tube form theT on the rear axel extending up and capped is a tube for factory brake system vacume?? If this vechicle lost all brake fluid would this line hold air and cause the rear system to fail?
help PLEASE
