okay; they make an 'inline' flare tool but they're pricey.

 

they do make an 'inline' flare tool so you can work in tight spaces...no vice needed but they are pricy. since you recommend Tbugden, i think i'll use those nice clamps, shove the hose on enough to put two clamps on and see what happens!!! can always do the flare thing down the road.

 

Cut off the old hose and put one of these on it, DONE!

I see th barbs to accept the fuel injection hose, but what's up with that other side? How does it connect to the Metal part of the line? is that a compression fitting? Will the metal line still require a flare?

My bud chimed in and says "this is all you need"!!!!!!!!!!!!! What I see is that this thing connects steel line to ""NYLON"" line. Will these barbs also accept the correct size 'EFI hose'??? For that matter, is this fitting, much like Moparite's fitting, able to grab hold of the
'cut off metal line' and also accept my efi rated hose? for that matter, would the ""NYLON"" hose be the same as the rubber hose i have??? i'm getting exasperated over here

Okay so sorry there's not more of a consensus haha, there's multiple ways to do this I guess. Those steel to nylon fittings should work. No flaring required because they have a soft barrel piece that, when you tighten the two halves together, deforms and seals. They work very, very well. I didn't think about them because to my knowledge most people use them for nylon but I can't see a dang reason why normal hose can't be used! I'd still use a clamp too. Go for it, I think that's an excellent way to do it.
