I'm fighting the same kind of leak that neither I, nor my mechanic friends, can find. And it only began AFTER a brand new Napa pump, gasket, t=chain, t-stat, etc. job last summer. I think its coming out of the body of the pump as it originates from nothing. But mine is clean as a whistle so its really hard to see where it comes from.
Isn't there a seal and a sleeve (which is not recommended to use) in the timing cover? That might be your issue???
The weep hole is between the bearings that the shaft rides on. They all have them so air doesn't get trapped between the bearings and blow out the grease(due to the heat). Technically it's not a "weep hole" but leaks there when the seal goes bad and it gets past the bearing. What kind of clamps are you using? i have noticed that the stock spring clamps tend to let coolant leak past them. Standard clamps will leak in time also and will need to be retightened. Toss them and use a "constant tension hose clamp". Run the truck for a while enough to to get it hot then park it then in a few minuets look for the leak. That's when it will happen so it should be fairly easy to find.
Update: I pressured up the system and found that I have a couple pin holes in my rad and a leak in the intake gasket (where the screw driver is pointing)
But the coolant started dripping out of what I took as the weep hole on the water pump so that has been pulled and now going to replace that and the rad, that should do the trick ! I hope....
You should reseal the intake as well. If it is leaking out from the sealing surface, that is only going to get worse... and oil and coolant don't mix well. (and bad things happen when they do.) If you haven't fixed your plenum yet, NOW is the time to do it.
