1993 Dodge w250 5.9 gas cranks no start with occasional starting
Hello, I have a 1993 Dodge w250 with a 5.9 gas with z vin. The truck cranks with no start most of the time. Sometimes it will start and run for just a couple minutes and then dies. The asd clicks and now there is a faint noise coming from Pcm.
Things I’ve done to it up to this point
crank sensor
distributor
coil
all relays
had alternator checked
traced wiring
changed PCM with one from a 1992 5.2 truck- no change and not sure if this PCM would work?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

have you set the fuel sync? when you change the distributor you need to set the fuel sync or it may run like crap if it runs at all. also have you tried starting it with the throttle open?
you don't need an obd2 port to set the fuel sync. you either require the special factory tool or a muti meter and the info needed set the fuel sync without the special tool. i forget the exact details on how to set it with a multi meter
usually if holding the throttle open keeps the engine running then you might have a dirty or sticking idle air control motor. pump the gas on a fuel injected vehicle does nothing.
