Default Reuse cat with new headers?

Can I reuse my stock cat. With new headers? The only thing I was thinking of keeping is the cat headers before and cat back after? The headers said it's 2.00 outlet. Any advice? I'm planning on single exhaust. Just a lil bigger if I can for cheap . 92 dakota 5.2l automatic clubcab

Well, since the STOCK exhaust is 2.5" on a 1992 ...

Why use headers? Sounds like they'll restrict more than your current, if the header dump is 2". (And WHERE did you find such small headers??)

I put the exact same set on my truck, FYI. Not for performance, I know better, but I like the look and have had many comments on them. I did have to modify the passenger side collector as it didn't quite clear the frame.
