Can you by pass the a/c unit when replacing the Serpentine belt?

 

Is the clutch seized on yours? Fairly common problem.

You'll have to use a non-spec belt, but yes you can use an alternate routing going from the power steering pulley to the center idler between alternator and AC, on the 3.9/5.2/5.9. Not sure on the *.7 engines.
