are the 05 durango seats compatible with the 3rd gen dakotas? are they even comfortable?

My driver seat is horrible, foam is worn out, its starting to shift slightly when I sit in it, etc. I'm going to measure it out and start looking at replacements. i've never sat in such uncomfortable seats before. my old 98 blazer was more comfortable.

Thanks in advance for any info.

The Durango seats are about the same comfort-wise as the Dakota seats, but they do not simply bolt in. The seat floor mounts are different between the vehicles.

I have a Durango seat in my 2011. There is a post that needs to be removed then the seats are pretty much bolt in.

If you need the novelty of electric seats then it could. I bought my truck with less than 7k miles and ruined the seats in less than three days. Sweat breaks down the foam and makes it soft, which then presses through the wire mesh supporting it. One thing you can do is take the foam out of the passenger seat and use that.

I have a 94 Dakota as well; those were nice seats. I haven't looked at how the seats attach to the frame, but I imagine it wouldn't take much to put them in. The frame is pretty much the same through all generations. If you are handy you can make whatever you want fit in there.
