Default Camshaft spins freely from gear

2011 dodge durango 3.6, on drive home got a code ran fine. After getting home ran codes for a P0340, I replaced the cam sensor aswell as the harmonic balancer seal as it was leaking. When starting to test it made a loud tick and misfired, killed it asap. Thinking I jumped a tooth taking the balancer off I pulled the timing cover and while putting in TDC by hand the exhaust camshaft on passenger side would skip forwards or backwards separately from the gear, I believe the gear is somehow toast and I've ordered another but I'm not sure, any advice is appreciated.

Replacing timing gear fixes it.
