U-Joints
I am in the middle of getting the parts to reinstall my transmission on my 1992 dodge dakota 3.9 4x4. However, the problem I am having is trying to figure out if I can buy the same u-joint for the front driveshaft from axle to cv joint at t-case and then at t-case to rear axle. I mostly just want to know if one could buy the same u-joint for this. I go online to rock auto, and it just gives a bunch of u-joints that are all practically the same. Does anyone know if one can do that? Thanks.

IMHO, I prefer to take my existing u-joints to a local store and match them up .... they are cheap enough and saves headaches.
I also order most parts on line .... u-joints I get local.
I have a 1993 Chebby that something strange happened when the rear end was rebuilt, I need a larger set of caps to fit the yoke, a smaller set to fit the drive line ....
So I buy 2 different u-joints and mix the caps and end up with a spare for next time needed.
