Have a 2011 Avenger Mainstreet w/ the V6 and going to rebuild/repair for my daughter…wondering about the alternator. Will start w/ battery charger, but under own power, dies…is the alternator that hard to replace?…just starting @ obvious things first.

Is it the alternator, or the voltage regulator. You can have both tested at your local auto parts store. (bring the vehicle, and they can test. or, just bring in the alternator, and have that tested. Usually, they are pretty easy.
