Texas Ram Owners "Stand up be counted"
Man I found the 4x4 truck I wanted for the swap and I'll be got outbid by 25 dollars. I was at work during the auction so I could not get on and outbid before it ended. I am patient though and will find another. Will post it all when I get started with in-depth photos and info particularly in the problem and solution department.
On the prior reply from Pull Ya, I think you are absolutely correct. Folks do not want to get out anymore and socialize. Whole world is going to crap. Will try anyway. Occupies my time in a positive way.
It may be tough to get people together but location is everything. Texas is a big state and some guys may not have the time off to travel. I am a member on Ramcharger Central also and we have a Texas Chapter get together every spring/ early summer called Ram Jam. Pretty good turn out this last May with probably 20+ trucks. They do a 3 day weekend camping/ off-road event. Camping keeps the costs down. There was door prizes, t-shirts and bumper stickers. Started organizing in January for May. You need a central location and people willing to get the organizing done. Hitting up businesses for door prizes, getting t-shirts and bumper stickers made takes time. Pre-sold the tees and stickers for money for door prizes too. Got with the park and set up group discounts. Anybody up for doing that? Hope that gives you guys some ideas.
I understand that Texas is a big state, but I was trying to put together a g2g here in Central Tx(around Austin). Not a big 2 or 3 day deal, just a small g2g for lunch. I don't expect people to drive for miles and miles just to have lunch but hell----just one person in this area that thought it would be fun enough to get together for some BBQ and a cold beer and talk about trucks---hell that almost better than ------- well on second thought it might not be better than that but you get my point.
I live just east of Austin and have a 2010 1500 4x4 sports.

I'd consider Austin fairly central. Another idea would be to meet for a Mopar car show in town. Serves double duty. If there's any other 1st Gens out there that want to meet up, I might be game.
