Default Shocks for lifted ram 1500?

Hello, long time fan of the site and first time poster! I own a 1997 Ram 1500 Sport, I bought it used and now it is time to replace/upgrade the shocks. Didn't think to ask the sales man but it has a lift but I don't know how much...I am told that some of the off road packages came from the factory with lifts on them but my dealer couldn't confirm this. I have noticed blocks between the rear axle and leaf springs...could I just measure these blocks to get the lift hieght so I can buy the right shocks/struts? How can I tell if the front is lifted? I am looking at some Eddelbrock IAS shocks and they have them in different sizes for different lifts. Any help/advice is appreciated...thanks

First of all struts are never used on Ram trucks period. Yes the Dodge Ram Sport trucks did come with a little higher suspension stance. I dont know how much higher they are than the regular Rams but its not much maybe a couple inches at most. Do the suspension coilshave a certain color to it? like blue for Fab tech n Red for Rancho or Yellowor black for Superlift? if its just old, black faded paint chances are its a stock setup for the Sport trucks. Do the trailing arms that keep the axles in place in the front look factory (pressed n formed sheet metal)???
