lifting an '07 Ram 1500
Has anyone been able to successfully lift an '07 Ram 1500? From what I have heard the 2007 is a whole new truck...new frame, everything. Hardly a Ram! I have had a lot of difficulty finding a legit lift kit. Many say it will fit a 2002-2007, but if the 2007 is so different, I'm not sure how that's possible. help?

it is different from the 02-05 and some early 06's in the fact it has a coilover front suspension (struts and coilover springs) instead of shocks and no torsion bars. but the lifts are easy to install. The guys who are telling you it will fit are partially telling the truth as you can easily remove the coil over and replace with shocks with just minor cutting and welding and the same with torsion bars.
I installed the 6 inch BDS kit on my 07 1500. it can fit upto 37 in tires with 4.5 backspacing with just a hair of rubbing on the front valance. i actually use my 4x4 so i run 35's so i get plenty of bounce room.

I have the 7" CST lift installed. Installed, aligned and out the door w/ sales tax = $1,600.00 and change
One thing though, the CST lift is not designed for the Hemi. So after the springs settle, the front end will droop a little. To circumvent this I had them install 2" blocks in the back instead of 3" blocks. If you are installing it yourself, don't forget to get the brake line extensions. I also upgraded to CST gas shocks. The ride is as good as, or better than stock.
