Default lifting questions

ok i just bought a 1998 dodge ram 1500 4x4. I would like to lift it some but i dont think i want it huge. I was thinking maybe 3 inches with some 33's. Now im wondering if these tires will fit with this lift or if i need to go smaller tires/bigger lift. I also would like to know if i will have to buy new rims or if i can use my factory rims with 33's. also what would be the best place to find this lift and some good all terrain tires 33x12.5x16.
Thanks

A 2-3 inch wil be plenty to stuff 33's under your ram, and your factory rims should be just fine for tires unless you want to go wide, really wide. You should be able to fit a 33x10.50x16 (tire heigth, tire width, and size of rim) with no problem. Also a set of BFG AT's should be fine if your truck stays on the road about 90% of the time, otherwise I'd recommend a set of either BFG MT's or the new Cooper Discoverer STT

I have 285/75/16's on mine which work out to be 33x11.50 on the factory rims, fit nice
