Default add-a-leaf Good? Bad?

What is your opinion on add-a-leaf vs. new rear leafs? i know there is a large price jump, but ive heard that they stiffen up your ride.

I was considering the SuperSprings for my Dakota 4x4. They attach with roller shackles and are therefore supposed to have all the benefits of add-a-leafs without the ride stiffness.

If your suspension is worn then new springs should do the trick. Adding a leaf is guaranteed to stiffen up the suspension, it just depends on why you want to stiffen up the suspension.

add-a-leafs are a good cheep way of lifting your truck but they make the suspension much stiffer which will make it more dificult for it to flex on rocky terrain. If you are planning on mudding then they are fine but if you need articulation, then go with new leaf springs.

Adding a leaf will also raise your weight capacity, so you can haul heavier loads without making your truck squat.
