Default newb lift help

I'm lookin at gettin an 04 1500 qc and though I like it the way it is, I've always wanted a big ol truck. Now that I'm able to get one, well I'm gonna get one. So I don't know very much and would like a 6'- maybe as high as 10' lift. The bigger the better. I'd also like big tires however I know little about them as well. So basically all I know is that I want my big truck. I would like to take it off road some but don't know how often I would do it and most of the driving would be on regular pavement. If someone could throw some stuff out there to get me into the right direction I'd appreciate it.

sorry but your not going to get much in this thread. try asking in the ram section but ill help you out as best i can. the problem with the 02 and up 1500's is that it has IFS front suspension, lifting it then become alittle more difficult since you need drop brackets and things of that sort to keep your aliment right. im really not firmilar with lifts for an 04 1500 but ive heard there kinda expensive. ill look around and see what i can find for you. as for tires. if you want something big and very hiway capable. i would go with like a 35 inch BFG or procomp AT or something similar. theres also a few others out there but those are agressive and wear really good. procomp has a 50,000 mile warranty on there AT's. if you want something alittle more agressive look at a bfg or procomp MT but you wont get near the same kind of milage or hiway manners. also take a look at out tire section sponsored by tirerack.com

Top gun customs is know to make really good stuff. sounds like a good hit and looks like it has everything you would need. then again im not a expert on that year but from my experience with suspentions it seams to be a very good setup.
