I am replacing the rack and pinion steering gear on my 94 Shadow. There is a shaft that runs from the rack and pinion assembly up to a u-joint which connects to the steering column. I am stuck because I cant get the pinch bolt that secures the u-joint to the intermediate shaft out. This pinch bolt is hollow and has a cut down one side. I have tried to knock it out with a punch, etc. but it won't budge. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
