Tires (Goodyear Wranglers) have about 5-7000 miles on them.
Towels have always been over the seats...
NO tears in drivers seat...
Noting Husky liners are always in the truck so carpet is still like new...
I purchased this truck in 1999 from the original owner (a friend) with only 1500 miles on it, I have owned it since. It's been kept in a heated garage the entire time. This has never been a 'work' truck, rarely even driven in bad weather, only used running to Home Depot, or when I needed to move something. I have every piece of original paper work (owners manual, window sticker, service manual,etc). Early on I installed a Flowmaster exhaust and K&N cold air intake (both still on the truck), ...and still have the original take-off exhaust and airbox.
I know we hear the saying, "you won't find one cleaner..." but you be the judge, I trust you will extremely hard pressed to find one in better condition and as well kept. A BIG part of me hates to sell it, but being a Chevy guy I finally broke down and will be picking up a 2018 Silverado.
The Dodge has 137,000 miles, and being 23 years old is STILL in MINT condition, ZERO rust, NONE, not anywhere. It's never been repainted, never in an accident, nothing. Not a tear in the seats, dash, door panels, not even a stain anywhere...(I kept towels on the seats since day one). I'm a NON-smoker, so there is no smell, nothing. EVERYTHING works as it should, yes even still ICE cold AC. Even the engine compartment is CLEAN and well maintained. This truck is truly in exceptional condition and must be seen to appreciate.
Oil and filter are changed regularly (synthetic), and truck runs perfectly, no issues at all. Recently installed new (Mopar) water pump, belt tensioner, new thermostat, clutch fan, radiator and all new belts and hoses. I need to check papers for exact date (3-5 years ago?) I installed the Hugh's Engine intake plate due to the known issues with the stamped steel plate beneath the intake manifold. Truck has been fine since.
- Powder Coated bumpers: Early on, knowing the bumpers on these trucks would start to rust (especially showing on WHITE), ...I pulled both front and rear bumpers and had them POWDER COATED. They are still perfect to this day.
-Truck has had Bed Liner since originally purchased.
-Was undercoated/rustproofed TWICE by the original owner upon initial purchase
-10 disk CD changer under driver seat. Yes, it's antiquated by today's standards, but WORKS just fine. (as does the CD... cassette deck (another relic from days gone by
- 20" OEM Dodge wheels and tires have less than 5000 miles on them.
-NOS window wisks were purchased, but never installed.
Other than mentioning this to some close friends (who told me I should bring it to Carlise for the Chrysler nationals) I am posting first here on this board in hopes someone who appreciates it will end up with it. As mentioned above, whatever parts, extra oil filters, manuals whatever, it's ALL going with the truck. I seriously would love to see someone get it that maintains it as I have for many years to come.
I will add additional photos of the engine bay and interior in the coming days.
