FS[Vehicle]: 1955 Chrysler Windsor
I'm helping a fellow settle his parents estate. He never saw this car move until I winched it out of a garage where it had sat since 1968. It is 99.99% complete. The strip across the top on the windshield is missing along with the hood ornament. As far as I can tell, that's all that's missing. Some parts are broken, but are there.
The story on the car is his parents bought it in 1966. In 1968 they bought a newer car when they bought a new house. The Chrysler was kept as a back up and his mother would start it once a week. This continued until it wouldn't start one day. He was born in 1971 hence never seeing it move.
The glass is all good except for one that a baseball went through. It has a large dent on the roof where his younger sister would have tea parties. Rodents made a home over the years so the interior is going to need some loving. It doesn't look to have ever been hit but there is a crease along the drivers side. It's from northern Indiana so it does have some rust but not as bad as most of these I've seen.
I am getting it ready for the next owner to either fix it up as a fun driver or restore it. The biggest issues with estate sakes is often title work. I have a clean and clear Indiana title in my name. I also have photo copies of the original for historical purposes in the next owner wants it. I am currently working on the brakes. The parking brake was locked so I had to pull the drive shaft. I have most of the rubber parts and will get the brakes working as I get time.
Next will be to get the engine running. It has the 302 poly engine. It is NOT a Hemi. The seller used to rotate the engine by grabbing the belts. That didn't work when I got it. I have found the water [pump is locked up. I'll be filling the cylinders with oil so rotating the engine doesn't break a ring.
The listing price is $3500. As I progress with getting it going, that will firm up. The pictures with shiny black wheels are how it sits now. The photos with dull wheels are on the 1960's rubber and how it lookd when I brought it home.

I've started with a lot worse to get a nice driver before. This will be a perfect base for anything you want to do.

Well, the storms have gone, for now, and it's a nice day so I did a walk around of the car.
This should not be instead of looking at the car in person. It's meant to give you an idea of what to expect.
