Magnum Six Pack
Hey!
Glad to be back! Drove 3500 miles round trip to the Dakota R/T Nationals in Bremerton WA! Had a great time and it gave us a good opportunity to test out our new Magnum six pack intake system. Its installed in our stock short block 98 Dakota R/T Club Cab (best ET 14.5 @ 94mph with Mopar Perf M1 manifold and 50mm F&B TB) We got a chance to both Slalom race (2nd place in our class!!) and drag race (lost in the first round with a short shift...14.88 @ 93.5mph) and then proceeded to wander around the western states taking the slow (and fast!) roads back to San Diego. The 6pack likes high RPM and I wouldnt reccomend it for a bone stock truck (from a performance standpoint) but for mildly modified to full tilt magnums this system really gets it on above 3000 rpm! The F&B Magnum six pack is based on the 340 LA six pack manifold, but bolts right up to the magnum via the magic of a lot of CNC machining and TIG welding. We developed an adjustable progressive linkage for it as well to dial in your CFM when you need it. We made a few of these for sale and can set-up the CFM for virtually any application (Ideal for strokers and big cams!) with 42, 44 and 48 mm two barrel D profile TBs to choose from! Well be at the Truckin Nationals in Phoenix with the Magnum 6pack in the brackets so stop by if your around!

Not yet...Maybe not ever... We are working on the 5.7 Hemi crate as well as the 426 Hemi though... Its tough to do when the only manifold available is made of plastic...We love the 4.7, but the parts to work with are few and far between. We dont make the entire manifold...yet...

What's sad is that there is so much potential for this 4.7 motor but no one has tapped into it yet. if you look at the 4.7 it's the Mopar version of Ford's 4.6 and you can get the 4.7's running just as fast as any R/T if not FASTER. There's Turbo kits being designed for this motor that puts it at 400hp/400ft/lbs tq...
Business' wanna make money? BUILD FOR THE 4.7. More people are going to be having these motors as they are the NEW GENERATION MAGNUM.

Blackdak04,
we (F&B) totally agree! the 4.7 is a good design and should be a great motor for the aftermarket... Except its not offered in a two door muscle car, so theres little interest in it (except for F&B!). With the advent of the new Hemi, Im not sure what Mopar has in store for the 4.7... wish I knew! As it is we have looked at a few different things for them such as dowel pin kits for the lower monolithic cap for 400+hp situations, Intake manifolds with a decent plenum and runner dimensions, etc. Nothing in production yet due to our glacial R&D cycle.... hang in there with the 4.7 though!
