16" or 17" Rims
I have a set of stock 16" rims and a set of stock 17" rims. I want to have a set of everyday tires (for highway mostly) and a set of aggressive (play) tires. My questions is, which tire/rim combo would be best for the highway/play? I heard that the 17" rims would get me better gas mileage than the 16" with highway tire. Is that true? Any input would be great.
I'm running a set of Pro Comp's Extreme wheels 8089's 17X9 with a set of Dunlop's Radial Mud Rovers 35X12.5R17. I'm all highway and I drive 130 miles a day round trip Mon-Fri and 100 miles on Sat's. Those tires do not hum or whine yet they have a very aggressive tread and they look great. My diff's have 4.56 gears and the rest of my truck's description can be found in my sig below and the pic attached. Wheels are from www.4wheelparts.com and the tires are from www.tirerack.com.
