Default truck pulling to right after new tire install

Hey fellas, I recently had some 35x12.5x17 toyo mts installed on my tuck and ever since then it really wants to pull to the right. I had an alignment about a month prior to the tires being put on. Should I get another alignment? I have heard adjustable ball joints help but also heard nothing but bad things about them. Truck is a 2500 ctd and has 12000 miles on it. Had no pull before the new tires so i am assuming its nothing major. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I would definitely have the alignment checked. Make sure that it is not only within spec on all 4 wheels, but even left to right. Usually they should have some sort of printout of what your final specs are when the alignment is done. If the alignment is perfect, it is possible that a defective tire would cause the problem. You could test this theory by rotating the tires to different positions to see if it changes the severity or direction of the pull.

also check the tire pressure, if one of them is a little lower it could cause it to pull a little, esp in a heavy truck with tires that large.

Good call on the pressure, I should have thought of that too, considering my own car does it

If all of the above does not work- this is what may have happened. If they overtighten the lugs with an impact wrench it can actually distort the rotors-causing it to stick as it passes the pads. This will Quickly overheat the rotor and make it junk. Check them with a tourqe wrench BEFORE you go back to who ever did it. Hope this helps.

You most likely have what is called a Radial pull. The tire has a build problem. I would rotate the tire to the rear, if the problem goes away that's what it is. Then you must cram that tire down the throat of the company that sold it to you!
