Default tire help

i recently bought a 2003 ram 1500 QC 4x4. it has not been lifted or leveled yet and it is running quite nicely on 275/60r20 nitto terra grapplers. the wheels are the stock chrome 20's.my wife and i would like to put a fairly aggressive 35x12.5 m/ttire on it. i've been told by 4wheelparts that a leveling kit will let this happen. but i have also seen on many threads on here that this is not true. which is it? also, if i were to get new wheels, which offset and backspacing would i need? i'm still slightly confused on the backspacing/offset thing.

the 35's will fit its just a simple matter that there isnt much room for it to flex.. you will prolly rub at full lock and good size bumps... if you want 35's go with the lift... if you just wanna level it your safer with 33's... just my .02

alright. what would be your opinion on the torsion bar crank? i think if i just use that to level the truck out and then get a set of 33" m/t's then it'd look good.
