Default 2/4 drop 94 dakota on 17s

I lowering a94 dakota with spindles and hangers and 2inch block to get a 2/4 drop. What size tire would you reccommend on a 17inch wheel. I want a smaller sidewall i have a 235/65/17 on it with 2inch blocks in rear and stock front height. thanks

235/60R17 is a pretty normal size to use on a 94 Dakota. That would go shorter than the 235/65 that you have, without any worries about being too small and not keeping proper load rating, or throwing the speedometer off.

So a 235/40/17 would be to small with it lowered 2/4

Yes, that would be quite small. That's a car tire size, with about a 24.5" overall diameter. You may be able to go smaller than the size I suggested, but make sure the tire still meets your Gross Axle Weight Ratings.

What is your Gross Axle Weight Rating for the Front and Rear on that truck? It's usually on the door placard. As long as the tires make the weight ratings, they're allowable on the truck, but the shorter they are, the more they'll throw off speedometer/odometer/gearing.
