Default Lugnuts

I have factory aluminum rims on my 2009 challenger the factory lugnuts have swollen which i understand is a known problem. I purchased from the guide book chrome dorman lugnuts Acorn style part number 611-186. problem is they seem to be slightly smaller in diameter next to the wheel. they fit well but do not seemed to have as much meat as the originals. Does anybody know if this will work. Ive looked up the lugnuts in almost every book and it says they are right ?
can somebody educate me on this situation.....thanks
