Description:
Here is my old truck next to my "new" truck when I just got it. I say "new" cause I got it used, but it was only a year old with 4900 miles on it. My old truck was an '86 Ram 50. One of those imported for Dodge vehicles. I was identical to the Mitsu Mighty Max. Mine was the sport model with the whopping 2.6 L engine, 5sp w/4x shift on the fly, and extra special decals (which made it faster). The only mods on this truck were a pair of leather seats from a '94 Acura Vigor (with power driver) and homemade aluminum bed rails for securing cargo. The racks I made out of some tube steel I found in a parkinglot. The white racks you see secured to my bedrails are regular weatherguard utility roof racks. 4x8 sheet goods on top whilst tools in the bed. As you can see I really beat that truck, but it was a trooper. I once had it up to the headlights in water, countless loads of sheetrock, relentless city driving during my college years, was with me down in MD for my stint at Black & Decker and survived a few accidents as well. I miss it so.
