Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
Picked it up used from a place in Elkhart, IN. It was a front end salvage (previous owner rear-ended a big truck) but my cousin and I checked it out and called it good. Had ~57k miles on it and I paid less than $5k for it. Super clean, new paint job, decent aluminum rims, a great deal. Only problems I've had so far are: 6-CD changer doesn't work; after about two weeks of driving it the air intake clamp came loose and opened the throttle body, simple fix; and after about 3 months it just died while I was driving it. Turned out the ASD fuse blew. Replaced it and did a tune up and found the #2 spark plug wasn't tightened down at all. That's the only thing I can figure that told the PCM to pop that fuse. Since then it's run fine with no OBDII codes.
*Update: About a month after the first ASD fuse problem, it started blowing every few miles. Everyone told me I'd have to check everything electrical because so much is hooked up to the ASD relay. Well, I looked through the wiring diagrams in my Haynes and discovered that the only two things directly wired to fuse 21 (ASD/FP) are the PCM and the Alternator. I figured if the surge was coming through the PCM, I'd have a lot more problems than just a fuse. So I traced the alternator wires and found a pinch in the loom that had exposed some wires. Spliced, soldered, and taped them up and she's been good ever since =]
