Description:
Here's a few pics of the new e fan I installed over the weekend. It was easy to do so I didn't bother with a write up. The instructions are enough for anyone I think. Right after I installed it and started the truck, I heard a strange knocking that almost sounded like rolling rockers, but knowing I havent installed any, I investegated and got to spend the rest of the day replacing my water pump. That damn pulley should be removable I tell you.

I used one last zip tie pad on the frame here before it went up to the battery.

Here is the underside. The bracket matched up perfectly and I "Y'ed" my two 3/8" looms into the main 1/2" back to the VSC.

New water pump and serpentine belt installed. Nice, smooth, and quiet now. I wanted to swap the tstat and radiator hoses too, but none of the parts stores had the upper hose, so I guess thats a project for another day.

This is when I noticed the noise from the WP pulley. My IP's were caked in sand and the belt has 50,000 mi on it so I figured it was a good time to replace the belt and clean my pullies.

I used 3/8" loom for the sensor probe wires and some zip tie pads to finish the install. I ended up extending the probe wires so I could run all my wires in one 1/2" loom back to the VSC.

Here's the final set up. The brackets fit perfectly and I didn't have any trouble during the install doing it by myself.

I mounted the VSC on the side of the battery box with some 3M pads. Turned out really clean and I know it'll be safe from water and engine heat. While wrapping the wires in 1/2" loom I ran out of black tape and had to switch to red. I know I'll end up swapping it out soon but it's fine for now.
