Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
This 09 came off of a used lot. It has high miles but the truck looked sound. I got it for a song and a dance. Now I know why. It has major problems. Evap system problems (replaced three gas caps, LDP, two vapor canisters, purge solenoid, worm gear clamps on all hoses, still have 'gascap' light on dash...WTF?! update mar '13, finally taken to the stealership, they say a esim wire was rubbing on the drive line and throwing the code...fixed? ). Broken blend and recirc doors (heatertreater.com; fixed) Front end worn out, ball joints, links, pitman etc (all fixed, Moog lifetime parts). Cyclinder misfire CEL (fixed, 16 new plugs and one new injector). 4wd system was shot (ring and pinion/carrier bearing, fixed). Oem Shocks destroyed, (kyb monomaxes all around; fixed). Two cluster needles stuck (junkyard cluster for parts, fixed) Not a good start to another truck.... Total repair bill so far $3750 and counting....
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
Volant CAI and custom created air scoop behind bumper air dam
Suspension Modifications:
Moog everything steering. Custom-Diesel steering stabilizer. KYB monomax shocks all around. Fat Bob's 2.5" Nylon leveling kit.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
Stock steelies with 265 70 17 primewell HT
Highway use (for chinese rubber, these are excellent tires!)
Dick Cepek GM8 with 35 12.5 17 big foot XT
Off road/winter
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
Chrome Trim, TTT custom towing mirrors. Bakflip bed cover, spray in turbo bed liner. Fender flares. Monstaliner rockerpanels and Fender Flares.
Future Modifications:
Firestone airbags.
