Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
I bought this truck new as a gift to myself when I got divorced. It's got almost 200,000 miles on it, and has flat towed my 1946 flat fender across the country I don't know how many times. I love driving this thing (too bad MPG isn't that great). Definitely a beast when driving in the snow.

Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
5.2 V8, Auto, Hemifever programmer, slightly bored throttle body, shift kit when tranny rebuilt. Swapped 3.55 gears to 4.10 with True-Trac front and rear. Drilled and slotted brake rotors up front. Sears Platinum series 65 battery (had to slightly trim the factory tray to make it fit).

Suspension Modifications:
Skyjacker 2" coils up front, Trailmaster 2" long leaf add-a-leafs in the rear (part number R-1530), Rough Country shocks. 2" is plenty of lift for 33" tires.

Wheels/Tires Modifications:
285/75/16" Dick Cepek FC II tires on Dick Cepek Torque rims 16x8". I've got a matching spare mounted under the bed and it just barely fits.

Interior/Exterior Modifications:
ARE fiberglass top, aftermarket stereo, CB radio, factory front tow hooks and 2" receiver in the rear. One of the best things I did when I first bought it was put a HD rubber bed mat in the bed; it's kept the bed under the mat looking like new. Put some "bed bolts" in the bed so I can bolt-down and remove an aluminum truck tool-box in the bed up by the cab. Eventually will need to be painted again.

Future Modifications:
Posi-lock to permanently lock the two-piece axle up front (sitting in garage waiting to be installed). Would like to get a set of factory fog lights to fill the holes in the front bumper. Roof rack from a Dodge minivan for the fiberglass top (rack freshly painted and in garage - soon to be installed), dual batteries (got a tray from a diesel Dodge for the second battery on the passenger side), HS 1.7 roller rockers (someday - funds permitting), extended front bumpstops (and maybe rear too) and extended front swaybar links. And here it is attached to the hose that goes to the vapor canister. It sits up higher now, and away from the steering column.

Here's the mushroom piece, the hose piece I pulled from my truck, and the hose I pulled along with the mushroom piece.

Here is the mushroom piece I pulled (along with a section of the hose it was attached to). You can see the ribs where it goes into the hose.

Here you can see where it looks like something was ripped off. You can see the striations or ridges inside the end of the hose where something was making contact.
