Luckily, I had the spare 4WD shifter, so I removed the plastic gate from the spare and installed it onto my original 4WD shifter.

Took it completely apart, glass bead blasted it, painted it and put it back together.

This is my spare 4WD shifter. You'd think this would fit, but when I tried to install it, the bolt spacing of the bracket is different than the original, so I'll have to refurbish the original 4WD shifter and get it working properly again.
