The Heart of the Beast
The centerpiece of this transformation is a 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8, plucked from a modern Charger/Challenger, displacing any nostalgia for the original engines. The revamped D200 now boasts a ZF 8HP eight-speed automatic transmission and a robust four-to-one transfer case, significantly enhancing its off-road capabilities.
Dominating Off-Road Presence
This vintage truck stands tall on 37-inch Milestar Patagonia M/T off-road tires wrapped around Black Rhino 17-inch beadlock wheels. With a triangulated quad-link front and rear suspension, courtesy of Fox Suspension, it outclasses even luxury off-roaders worth six figures in 4x4 prowess.
Unique Aesthetics and Performance
Aesthetically distinctive, the D200 underwent meticulous exterior modifications, including revamped front grille and bumpers, setting it apart from any other truck. Beyond its unique appearance, its speed and agility further affirm its standing as a premier off-road vehicle.
Modernized Interior
Inside, the truck’s interior mirrors its exterior transformation. It features distressed gray leather upholstery, Dakota Digital instrumentation, Restomod Air climate control, and a custom audio system, culminating in a fusion of vintage styling and modern functionality.
The Ultimate Outcome
This modified D200, offered with build photos and a clean California title, emerges as a showcase of Rock Bottom Offroad's expertise. The melding of classic design with cutting-edge components is currently being auctioned on Bring a Trailer and at the time of this writing, with 3 days left, the current bid stands at $92K.
