Default RPM Pulsing

I had thought that the pulsing was from a sticking brake caliper, but i have thrown that out the window since i noticed when the car starts tu pulse the RPM are doin a dance. It isnt a huge drop or rise in rpm but enough to feel it real well. It happens when im tryinto keep a constant speed(little throttle), and goes away when i press on the pedal harder

If its only at a certain rpm that it does this then it could be the flywheel unbalanced at the same rpm or the crank sensor. If its at any rpm just under a load then its ignition or fuel

Sounds like what most people would call surging. It gets a short power surge right? It could be a vacuum leak.

I had the same problem in my old Neon. It was a 98. It would surge while trying to hold a steady throttle but not if I romped on it. It turned out being a wiring issue and was doing some weird stuff with the throttle position sensor. After messing with it for a while, replacing the sensor, cleaning the entire throttle body spotless and some other stuff nothing fixed it.

One day I was messing in the engine bay and moved a loom of wires around behind the engine next to the exhaust manifold and the problem went away for a long time then I went and moved the same wires around while I was working on it and it came back.

So check your wire looms especially at junctions, it could just be a burnt or stripped wire. I went through alot of money and headache before I found my issue and never thought it would be just a messed up wire haha

I never fixed the issue, just ended up getting a Dakota.
