4WD and V8 swap
#11
Hi Brian in Tucson,
If you read my first post, if I make the car up to V8 spec I can get the car modification approved. We do have emission laws, but they're not very strict. Even the exhaust catalytics wasn't required before '89, which makes my '88 clear those rules. We also have to pass a technical inspection every two years. For the engine upgrade I'm doing to this car there will be a separate technical inspection focusing on the parts that has been replaced/upgraded.
What we do have is taxes based on emissions, which makes US cars expensive to import to Norway.
1 liter of 95 octane (equal to yours 91) is $2.5, or $9.45 per gallon. Compared to what money we make, it's not that bad.
