Default Problem with gauges in the dash

Hi guys,

I have a 98 with roughly 165k on it and recently when I'm driving the gauges will start acting flukey---the speedometer will go to zero, the gas gauge will go to zero, the air bag light goes on, gas light, not everything but a lot of things start going on at that point.

I was wondering if anyone knows what this is all about? It doesn't affect the truck's performance that I've noticed, but it does make me a little concerned because this happened twice yesterday. I haven't had a chance to even look at it but I'm thinking that it might be some buildup in the battery terminals.

If anyone has any ideas or tips I'd really appreciate it. I'm not very knowledgeable with vehicles but I do my best. Thanks.

You either have a bad CTM or cluster. I would have the cluster checked for stored codes.
